This classic copper coloured ale is full bodied, with a palate rich in fruit and malt, balanced by a satisfying bitter finish.

Cask at The George Inn, London
Hazy amber color. The aroma is not strong; malty. The mouthfeel is reasonable, quite malty, a bit fruity. The hopping is good, partially aromatic, quite long final.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Light berry fruits and hop aromas with misplaced vanilla. Little sweetness with fruity hop flavours. Slips down easily for strength.

Cask handpull at The Tiger, Stowting. Copper colour with bubbly thin disappearing head. Yeast and red apple on the aroma with some red berry. Some nice malts as well. Good Autumn beer with warmin alcohol. Finish has more yeast and apple

Cask, Turf Tavern, Oxford. Dark copper, small soapy layer of off-white. Ripe apple aroma, plums, lots of fruit that seems on the edge of noble rot. Caramel, butter, building as the glass progresses. Plum sweetness, a bit of musky leather. Just a touch of pithy hop finish. Nice soft palate. Not a bad beer--just lacking a certain something to bring it all together.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Gold with a small white head. Sweet fruit aroma, possibly pear or berry. Very sweet caramel malt taste with a little fruit and some biscuit to follow. Gentle dry finish. Quite good.
