Pours very dark brown colour with a brown medium-sized head. Rich, slightly sweet aroma with fruity and spicey hops. Aftertaste reveals smoky and bitterish notes.

Jul 20, 2008 Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Broadstairs: Poured a very dark brown, almost black. Sweet with lots of raisin and other fruit flavours. Also slight sourness as you’d expect in an old ale. Could do with a little more body but rather good nonetheless.

May 26, 2008 Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very dark brown, creamy head. Aroma of apples and molasses. Sweet and fruity with medium body. It’s sloppy and empty with some edgy metal and not nmuvh else. Poor.

May 14, 2008 0,5l bottle. Nice dark brown color with thick head. Aroma includes roasted and sweet malts. Taste is very malty and reminds me of plums.

May 8, 2008 Bottled, thanks omhper! Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with a low creamy tan-coloured foam. Inviting deep malty aroma of raisins, figs, salt and tobacco. Medium-bodied with notes of crackers, prunes, fudge, sweet licorice and nuts. Smooth mouthfeel. Salt, prunes, raisins and soily hops in a well-balanced finish.
