500 ml bottle. Appearance is very close to Coca Cola, nearly no head. Aroma of dark, roasted malts. Bitter flavor with malts lurking in the background. High carbonation. Not a personal favorite.

Very dark-brown beer with velvet-like beige head. Aroma is complex: sweet, dried fruits and roasted malts. Flavour is similar than aroma and aftertaste is interesting "dry-sweetness". Nice and balanced beer to drink. Highgate Old Ember is interesting beer with nuancees many beer styles, but something is still missing to raise this beer into the top.

Dark ruby brown, small fizzy head. Roasted malty nose, some herbal hops and fruits. Little banana even. Flavor is roasted malts, spices and fruits. Some liquorice and a little citric finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation. It’s got something going on.
