Bottle from Tesco. Rich fruity aroma, pours a deep dark reddish brown with creamy beige head and good lacing. Flavours of banana, honey, liquorice, rich chewy malt. Smooth, warming mouthfeel, long finish with spicy hop and roasted malt tang. Great beer.

Beer pours darker then any ale I have ever tried. There is very head, but relative to traditional English ale, it seemed normal to me. The flavor is wonderful and alive with many overtones such as chocolate and coffee. a hauntingly smooth finish leaves you wanting more. I was very plesantly surprised. This is an excellent beer.

Deep dark brown hue, almost black. Thin light brown head. Toffee, coffee nose with a large helping of coco. This follows through to the flavour, which is rich on the palate with a fairly long chocolatey after taste . A high standard of beer.
