Cask Handpump at the Cask & Cutler, Sheffield 17/12/2005 Bronze coloured with a very fruity slightly sour aroma and flavour. Crisp on the palate with a dry and slightly creamy full malt finish.

Cask at the Ship in Whitstable. A Christmas beer that ticks most of the boxes - fruity, amber/red in colour with a chewy malt character. Nothing special but rather a standard bitter dressed up for Yuletide.

imdownthepub (7494) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2005
Cask conditioned at The Chandlers Arms, Epwell, Oxon. Orange amber beer with chunky white head. Dry tasty bitter, slightly on the thinnish side but a very decent session ale. Not what you would call a Christmas ale and perhaps should not be marked as such, it is a pleasant dry malty ale.

On cask at Freshfield Hotel,Formby. Clear, bright appearance. Not a lot of complexity for a ’Christmas Special’. An easy drinking session ale.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby (JDW) Canterbury. Pale copper colour. Tight lasting head. Citric hop and creamyness. A bit like how I remember Boddingtons being back in the early nineties. Quite sharp on the end and some very light caramel
