Amber color; generous head. The aroma is lightly earthy. It has some caramel flavor and correct bitterness, but too simple indeed.

Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in November 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque tawny in colour with a thin white head. Thin sweet malt note in the short aroma. Watery mouthfeel and good lacing. Mixed malts give a weak biscuit base with orange peel fruit notes evident. Dusty hop resins impart a thin resiny aftertaste which is short lived. Finish has a tart marmalade note to it. An ok session bitter, on a par with Nightmare - which sums this up.

10th November 2008. Clear amber brown beer. No head - light and clean. A little malt and with a distinct appley finish. Dry slightly spicy aftertaste. Not bad.

Cask @ The Rockingham Arms, JDW. Borough SE1. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slightly floral hoppy aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty slightly hoppy finish with some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.

Cask at The Standing Order, Edinburgh 13 Nov 08. Golden colored. A small creamy head. Some fruity aroma. Perfumed flavor. Sweet finish. Ordinary.

cask at JDW edinburgh ...amber ... light fruity hop ... watery light fruity hop hint of mellown.

Cask, The Highcross, Leicester. Dark red and brown with a small head. Aromas are earthy roast malts with light liquorice and chocolate. Flavours are dry, earthy and woody with sweet coffee. Bitter grapefruit towards the finish.

Cask at the cross keys and they new crown. Alround rating: Caramel sweet, sweet appley green king yeast like character. Really not good in any way.

Handpulled cask at JDW Stanmore. Dark amber with thin white head. Malty with little balancing bitterness and a sickly aftertaste of bananas? Not too good.
