COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our American Saison is a brillaint hybrid of the classic saison and the American PaleSaison yeast impart notes of pepper and spice, introduced by a bold, citrusy hop profile. Four varietals blend in the dry hop. A toast to new traditions in 2014!

On tap at the Whole Foods new market in Asheville. Pours a lightly hazed peach into the glass, with a diminutive head and no lace. Wheat, peach and hay to the nose. Flavors have apple, melon, wheat, hay and light pale malt with slightly peppering grains to finish. The light body and soft carbonation provide an easy summer quaff that is very easily drinkable. Nice hybrid saison here.

bottle, from Triangle Wine, Morrisville. filled 07/08/14. Ok aroma, sweet. Fruity yeasty. kind of honeydew and cantalope, and pepper, coriander. tad hazed golden orange color, ok head, good lace. sweet flavor. Medium body smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet dry finish, not bad, Flavor best part for me, nice mix with the yeast and hops. not gonna satisfy a true saison person, but could be a nice summer beer if they wanted to go that route

650 ml. bottled on 07/08/14. Pours a foggy orange with a lasting thin film of bubbles. Nice aroma of tropical fruit bubblegum, orange toffee, toast and a mild hard cheese. Big fruit flavors of orange, mango and pineapple are balanced nicely by evergreen resin, earthy-spiced must, dry cracked wheat and lightly peppery citrus zest. Medium body has medium carbonation and finishes dry with a light astringency.

This was an odd one. I smells very sweet and fruity, with notes of melon. Taste was also yeasty sweet, melon, flowery, and then a note of black pepper. The finish is crisp and hoppy. This was the tap version. Wonder if it’s any different in the bottle...
