COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our American Saison is a brillaint hybrid of the classic saison and the American PaleSaison yeast impart notes of pepper and spice, introduced by a bold, citrusy hop profile. Four varietals blend in the dry hop. A toast to new traditions in 2014!

Pale, hazy golden coloured body with a large three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of grass, hay, light coriander seed and a bit of yeast, but no sugars or depth. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy flavour with not much else except from a bit of curacao and oranges and a touch of yeast. Aftertaste shows little complexity with coriander seed, fresh grass clippings and a touch of bananas - that’s it. Overall, a pretty poor saison, which is too bad, because I usually like the brewery and wish them well on 20 years, but this wasn’t too impressive at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 05-April-2015.

Half pour at tasting room. Actually one of my favorites from these guys. Totally solid for the style if nothing spectacular. Hazy beige pour - nice white head. Has all the Belgian qualities it should- yeast, banana, clove, pepper with nice citrus and apricot hops in there as well. Super crisp. Finishes dry. Goes down almost too easily. Not overly complex, but tasty. Well done.

On tap at the Whole Foods new market in Asheville. Pours a lightly hazed peach into the glass, with a diminutive head and no lace. Wheat, peach and hay to the nose. Flavors have apple, melon, wheat, hay and light pale malt with slightly peppering grains to finish. The light body and soft carbonation provide an easy summer quaff that is very easily drinkable. Nice hybrid saison here.

bottle, from Triangle Wine, Morrisville. filled 07/08/14. Ok aroma, sweet. Fruity yeasty. kind of honeydew and cantalope, and pepper, coriander. tad hazed golden orange color, ok head, good lace. sweet flavor. Medium body smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet dry finish, not bad, Flavor best part for me, nice mix with the yeast and hops. not gonna satisfy a true saison person, but could be a nice summer beer if they wanted to go that route
