Highland's most robust beer, having a very malty body with a large, roasted chocolate flavor. It is black in color with a very clean finish and a moderate hop flavor.

Bottle. Quite black. Big cheap coffee nose with light malts, no shortage of woody aroma hops and a good dose of chocolate. Roasty, toasty, nutty full rich complex coffee stout. Dense but straightforward flavors like Vietnamese coffee.

bottle courtesy of jjpm74. deep black pour with a thin caramel colored head. thick roasted malts and chocolate on the nose. not as thick as i was expecting and the flavors are quite mellow in comparison to the strong scents.

Bottle courtesy of elmatador00 -- thanks!

Pours very dark with a beautiful rich-tan head. Roasty coffee aroma, a bit of molassas, pretty nice. Unfortunately there’s a fair stewed-vegetable taste to this one, and that mars an otherwise pretty nice roasty chocolately slightly smoky stout.

Dark brown to block in color. Decent looking head. A little toasty, roasty, coffee in the taste. A little bit creamy. Smell has some roastiness, a little coffe, toast.

The colour of this beer was a dark chocolate coffee colour, with a nice sized nutty aromatic head. A soft, silky, creamy-like mouthfeel. Fully carbonated in the mouth with plenty of nuts and berry flavor. Flavors of lightly roasted coffee beans, butterscotch and toffee.

Its not one of my favorite stouts at all. It has a rich, creamy head that is very dark in color. You’d think it would be a strong stout but its somewhere in the middle.

Appearance: Hazed brown , fine creamy top. 3+
Nose :Light yet fair with good roast , sweet toffee , some lactic feel , ending with coffee like hints 7-
Flavor/Palate : Medium-light bodied . Brown malts sitting in the midlle , some of inka roasted barley with light dryness at finish. Decent.

Very dark brown dody with light brown soapy head. Heavy roast. Mocha in the finish. While some cream in mouth, some astringency in finish as well. Lacey. Bitterness on heavy side.
