brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Dec 14, 2008 Pours a nice black color with a thick tan head. Nice coffee aroma with some roasted malts, hops and chocolate. Smooth taste - the chocolate and coffee make this a very drinkable beer that delivers some sweetness without overdoing it. Very nice beer. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Dec 13, 2008 Thanks Turdferguson. Nice pour with an almost black color and a tan head that lasts only a minute. Aroma is faint but offers chocolate and coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma. There is a good amount of roasted flavor and some dark fruit. Feel is moderate with some zest. This is a dry beer and is middle of the road for a stout. zappafan99 (462), South Carolina, USA Dec 4, 2008 Updated: Feb 7, 2009Taste 12/8 Bottle. Looks: Black opaque body with a sticky head. Generous espresso bean aroma, rich roast, faint smoke, medium bodied, earthy vegetal dry finish. Delicious! Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Oct 27, 2008 Black pour with solid brown head. Aroma is weak dark roast. Flavor has only the slightest hint of coffee notes, which I like immensely. Also roasty chocolate malt. Pretty good, considering I don’t really like coffee at all. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 23, 2008 Pitch black pour with minimal ruby hints at the edges.
