Dark brown. Nice nose - chocolate, coffee, lots of happy malts. Roasty with dark fruits on the palate. Sweet finish, just enough appetizing dryness. Nice stout.

(12oz bottle) Large pillowy tan head atop a black body. Aroma is medium sweet, milk chocolate, coffee, some roast. Taste is same as aroma, plus light burnt. Smooth, light-medium body, some creaminess.

From the Jug at the GABF Colorado Convention Center, Denver 11/10/2008 Roast aroma. Small tan head. Black smooth and slightly rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter coffee roast finish.

Deep clear brown, mostly lasting off-white head. Very grainy nose, proposing light roastiness, vegetal beany coffee and not much else. Plain and simplistic, it evolves into a fizzy roasty, grainy and astringent water. Below average malt extraction. Light-medium bodied, moderately high carbonation. Seems almost unfinished, yet with little potential. I certainly didn’t find anything close to the richness my peers seem to have noticed.

Bottle... Black ale with a mid-sized, rocky, lightly tanned head. Lots of roasted malts and chocolate notes in the nose. Lightly sweet, mocha flavor. Medium-bodied with a skim milk mouthfeel and faint carbonation. Chocolaty, coffee finish. Appropriately named. Kudos to TURDFERGUSON for floating the bottle my way!
