Mar 29, 2008 12 oz. bottle thanks to Secret Santa. Pours black with a moderately large bubbly brown head that completely disappeared after one-third of a glass. Pleasant aroma of mostly roasted malt with some notes of chocolate and coffee. The flavor was very simllar to the aroma. Very short, somewhat dry finish.

May 10, 2008 bottle courtesy of jjpm74. deep black pour with a thin caramel colored head. thick roasted malts and chocolate on the nose. not as thick as i was expecting and the flavors are quite mellow in comparison to the strong scents.

May 8, 2008 Dark brown to block in color. Decent looking head. A little toasty, roasty, coffee in the taste. A little bit creamy. Smell has some roastiness, a little coffe, toast.

Feb 28, 2009 Black in color with a light brown head. Aroma of roast, caramel, chocolate, mild earthy hops. Taste has roast, chocolate, molasses, some dry coffee, earth, with a moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Body is medium, a nice stout. Thanks Ethan.

Aug 27, 2007 22oz - Thanks to my bro in-law for scooping this one up - Black pour, tan creamy head. Nice stout aromatics of french roast coffee and white chocolate cream, with an soft underlying tone of oatmeal and molasses. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavors pulls out hints of toasted cherry at room temp. Balanced well and rounded by a slight tangy-like hop bitterness. May 7, 2008 The colour of this beer was a dark chocolate coffee colour, with a nice sized nutty aromatic head. A soft, silky, creamy-like mouthfeel. Fully carbonated in the mouth with plenty of nuts and berry flavor. Flavors of lightly roasted coffee beans, butterscotch and toffee.

Oct 15, 2005 (Knoxville Brewers’ Jam). Pours opaque black with faint ruby edges and a good, brown head. The nose is malt and mocha. A mild palate conveys the flavors of black malt, coffee, bitter chocolate, and just a bit of (bland) hops. A credit to stout-kind.
