masonjer (388), Lansing, Michigan, USA Jul 8, 2008 Cracked this open on July 4th. Right before the fireworks. Black pour with a nice head. Chocolate, roast and some coffee in the nose. Taste was much the same, pretty well balanced and not overpowering. A fairly drinkable stout. Big thanks to Daknole for sending this my way. keepersj12 (371), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 Very nice stout. Nice appearance and aroma. Flavor is typical for the style. Notes of chocolate and coffee. Good stuff. hopdog (4347), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 3, 2008 12oz bottle acquired in trade with daknole (thanks!). Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of chocolate, roast, coffee, caramel, and malted milk balls. Tastes of coffee, roast, and chocolate. maugus4ever (6), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA does not count Jun 30, 2008 Very dark with great coffee and chocolate flavors. Robust with a good roasted flavor. Enough hops to keep it interesting. Great stout! jhliesen (328), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bomber--Pours a solid black with a large tan head that leaves lacing throughout the drink. A strong roasted malt and coffee aroma dominateds. The taste has the roasted coffee taste with some bitter chocolate. I’m not a coffee, but if this is what espresso tastes like, I could change my mind. Asheville Wine 2.89
