COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clawhammer Oktoberfest is a lightly colored, but toasty, rich and full bodied Marzen style lager, brewed with traditional German malt and the finest noble hops. A spicy hop finish and aroma balance out the abundance of malt flavor. Clawhammer means pure high-country enjoyment!

Cloudy, amber-brown with a short tan head. Scent is caramel and bread. Taste is a mild, sweet, slightly spiced bread.... Malt and Caramel..... Nice hop notes at the finish.... Simple, but very good.

12oz bottle pours a murky orange color with a quickly dissipating white head. the aroma is of malts, semi sweet with some touches of hops is the best I can come up with. the flavor is malt forward with some mild bitterness in the middle and on the end. pleasant tasting for this style of beer. seems like mild breadiness in there as well...almost an orange taste but I could be wrong. overall decent and drinkable.

A distinctive American take on the Oktoberfest style. Appearance was average, a little more orange-ish color, not much head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Mild hop presence in aroma and taste, also some toasted malt. Closer to full-bodied mouthfeel. Highlight of this beer is its incredible smoothness. Recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

12oz bottle. Bright orange color with only the slightest ring of tiny white bubbles. Aroma is lightly sweet and a little spicy. Actually really tastey.

Draught at Lexington Beerworks. Orange color. Light body. Not heavy on caramel at all. Some citrus and basically pretty refreshing Oktoberfest.

12oz bottle, filled 8/20/13. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves some lace. Medium-plus body. Crisp carbonation. Toasty, caramel malts. Light lemon. Moderate bitter, light sweet. Was solid as I swigged it in between bites of sandwich, but on it’s own, it suffers.

Bottle. Lactic caramel malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet caramel malt and hay flavor. Sharp finish. Very nice.

Clear medium amber with a small head and light streaks of lace. Taste is caramel malt that is, at first, thin and watery, then turns oily before yielding to light carbonation bittering at the finish. Drinkable, but not one of the better examples of the style.
