COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clawhammer Oktoberfest is a lightly colored, but toasty, rich and full bodied Marzen style lager, brewed with traditional German malt and the finest noble hops. A spicy hop finish and aroma balance out the abundance of malt flavor. Clawhammer means pure high-country enjoyment!

A golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some citrus and caramel. The flavor is oddly hoppy with some lemons and pine. Ofest my arse. If I rated on style Id tan this but I don’t so Ill say this is a pretty good session apa.

Bottle in trade from ROBORB. Thanks man. Pours an orange amber color with a light beige head. Smell is slightly dusty and earthy hops. Not malty in the way I would expect and almost is like its spiced or bretty and lightly funky. Taste is lightly hoppy with a biscuity dusty malt to it and some definite but light tartness and lager yeast flavor. Some lingering sweetness in the end. Medium to thin body and normal carbonation. A bit strange.

Bottle from trio. Pours clear Amber with a medium sized off white head. The aroma has your typical sweet esters for the style with some toasted malt and caramel notes. A slight spice from the hops. The taste has a spicy hops presence over a sweet brew. Not bad

Brown pour with minimal head. Toast, malt, bread, caramel. Generally sweet. Big body, slam able. Everything a marzen should be.

Bottle. Clear amber/orange pour with minimal head. Aroma is fruity; hints of orange, sweet corn, minor other citrus notes as well as caramel and toffee. Smells inviting and refreshing... and the taste confirms it. Light-bodied with minor hop notes, sweet malt and a touch of spice. I think it’s pretty true to what I think of the style, and I could drink this all autumn long. Another good brew from this high-quality Asheville brewery.
