COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clawhammer Oktoberfest is a lightly colored, but toasty, rich and full bodied Marzen style lager, brewed with traditional German malt and the finest noble hops. A spicy hop finish and aroma balance out the abundance of malt flavor. Clawhammer means pure high-country enjoyment!

Cloudy, amber-brown with a short tan head. Scent is caramel and bread. Taste is a mild, sweet, slightly spiced bread.... Malt and Caramel..... Nice hop notes at the finish.... Simple, but very good.

Malty, sweet, bready- slight earthy/nuttiness to it. Goes down smooth tho. Pretty darn good, I would down a 750 with glee.

Amber/gold. Off white head. Toasty, biscuity malt and earthy, bitter hops. A bit of an old wood element on the finish. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Drinkable, but unimpressive fest beer.

Wow, terrible. Not completely awful, but I would not recommend this to anyone. Doesn’t taste like a marzen, more like a pale ale. Bland and boring.

Pours orange-amber into the glass, with a fully diminished eggshell head that leaves trace lace. Aromas of malts and a processed candy effervescence. Sweet malt upfront, with some bock-like yeast in the mid-palate. The finish is an almost null semi-sour old stock yeast. A unilateral mouthfeel leads into a semi-thin body and lands slightly flat on the palate. For a Märzen, it’s not bad, just not a super complex offering, and is somewhat forgettable.

Clean and unassuming, Highland’s Oktoberfest entry sticks to the classic profile, but is lacking some of the toasted breadt character that is so appealing to me. Nicely balanced with a lightly bitter and malty aftertaste. A good match for a hearty burger or hot dogs.

A little brighter looking than other o fest beers. This is just another super sweet oktoberfest lager with a bit of apple juice and a very slight hop bite at the end. Solid but not my thing.

Draft at World Of Beer in Land O Lakes. Clear amber pour with a foamy white head. Roasted caramel malt aroma and flavor with some lingering spices. Decent but far from exciting.

On tap at Coasters. Copper pour with a very thin white head. Aroma of light caramel malt and soap. Toffee and caramel sweetness as well as light floral hops. Slightly bitter aftertaste, although nothing unpleasant. Not really one of my favorite styles but good for what it is.
