3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2007 Bottle (Winter 2006-07). Light cinnamon and vanilla malt aroma. Dark amber color with small head. Raw sugar cookie dough/cinnamon/vanilla (snickerdoodle) flavor. Mild hops finish - high acidity and carbonation. Has a nice cookie flavor without being cloying or with the strong spice flavors that are usually present in this style. (Winter 2007-08) - not really detecting a great deal of difference - similar aroma, color and taste but a bigger head. Still a quality brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a transparent dark copper brown with a dense covering of off-white head. Aroma of heavily sweet chocolate candy and caramel malt with some floral attributes. Body starts with a lot of pure milk chocolate hovering on top of sweet caramel malt and black licorice with some mild holiday spice. Finishes clean with a sublte bitterness attempting to balance the sweet chocolate. Overall an interesting and drinkable brew with an unexpected amount of chocolate within.

Thanks to JPDIPSO for sharing the bottle! Poured a clear medium toffee with a light beige ring for head. Medium caramel, wintry spices, toffee, cocoa powder, and baby powder provide an odd blend in the nose. Flavor was heavier, and full of caramel and toffee maltage... baby powder, powdered sugar, nutmeg, and brown sugar provided somewhat complimentary spicage. Somehow watery on the palate with sharp, sticky sweet malts and a hint of alcohol. Not-too-drinkable... but OK.

Tap at Trappeze in Athens.
Pours amber with tan head.
Aroma is very sweet, sugary and almost gives this nice syrupy.
Taste, amazing, nice caramel malts and chocolate with notes of fruits and licorice which gives a very sweet mouthfeel with faint touch of spices and cinnamon.
Finish is lightly hoppy. Thick on the palate leaving a fruity & syrupy aftertaste.

22 oz. bottle from emacgee- thanks, Ethan! Pours a clear, deep reddish-brown with a big, rocky beige head that leaves a good amount of lace. Aroma of sweet malts, toasted sugar, some mild spices, and faint grassy notes. The flavor just has a ton of malt character, caramel, toast, brown sugar, cereal, and just a wee bit of fruit. Medium-bodied, with a malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Pretty nice, and the spices take a back seat to the malts.

22oz bottle, shared by Tmoney99 at his 10K tasting. Bottled 11/09/13. Mostly clear red orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves decent lace. Clear orange color, mostly. Thin off-white head, leaves good lace. Good, smooth, creamy carbonation. Lightly creamy texture. Bigger body. Good bready malt, lightly spicy. Moderate sweet taste. Very nice, smooth, easy-drinking winter ale. Not overly sweet like some of these can be. Nice graham cracker, vanilla aromas.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Garnet in color, fairly dark, moderate foamy beige head, falls quickly leaving spotty lacing.   Heavy carob aroma, that
fake chocolate stuff from the 80s, as well as some butterscotch.   Some bready malts in there as well, but also a slight touch of
vegetable.   Chocolate malt, as in the old fashion shakes, on the tongue, moderate sweetness.   Hints of molasses and Earl Gray tea
as well.   Falls off somewhat quickly.   Little to no hop presense.   Definitely a malt oriented brew.   Moderate body and
mouthfeel.   Take some golden grahams and cocoa pebbles, put them in a bowl with milk... let sit for 20 minutes and then remove the
cereal... what you have left is what lingers, milky sludge smarmied with the dressings of breakfast cereal.   Certainly an interesting
brew, and spiced in a way I would have never imagined.   Decent, interesting, but not sure I would entertain this one again.
However, it is unique.   Thanks Jim for this one!
