(1L swing top bottle thanks to ballewblake) Pours a dark chocolate brown with decent head and good lacing. Nose is caramel, sweet corn, and chocolate. Taste is mildly sweet chocolate, finishes with more delicious chocolate, a nice hop balance, creamy and overall very good. A nice surprise.

This spiced ale pours a medium orange color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, sweet and spicy. A medium bodied ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with lots of caramel flavors. The hops are earthy and spicy. Very smooth tasting. The spices tend to match and not clash with the malts in this beer. Nice. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

[2640-20091205] 22floz bottle. A little white chocolate powdery cocoa. Clear, red amber body with a quick bubbly white head. White chocolate sweet malt hints continue in the flavour with a nice, subtle general chocolate malt and sweetness. Medium body. Really interesting, white chocolate is surprisingly prevalent, and there are some odd toasted characteristics going on too.

22 oz. bottle from emacgee- thanks, Ethan! Pours a clear, deep reddish-brown with a big, rocky beige head that leaves a good amount of lace. Aroma of sweet malts, toasted sugar, some mild spices, and faint grassy notes. The flavor just has a ton of malt character, caramel, toast, brown sugar, cereal, and just a wee bit of fruit. Medium-bodied, with a malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Pretty nice, and the spices take a back seat to the malts.

22 ounce bottle thanks to Brent. Pours a dark beige color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet nutty notes, light malts and spices. The flavor is similar; a smooth and crisp flavor of nutty and sweet malty flavors, light spices. Easygoing and flavor-filled.

Had this last Dec. Pours a light amber clear with a very thin head. Soft caramel malts with herbal and phenolic spices- gingerbread. More ginger root in the flavor with light toffee, sweet caramel malts and some crackery malts- mild bitter finish.

Brown colored liquid with a bubbly light taupe color. As a group there were many descriptors thrown about when it came to the aroma. Rubber ducks, baby powder, fresh diapers, vanilla pudding, just to name a few and I don’t think any were discounted. There does seem to reside a touch of caramel, but one does seem to have to search for it. Flavors of some anise and spice cookies. Blue moon ice cream as well. An interesting holiday ale. I didn’t mind it, but there are some odd nose and taste things going on.

Thanks to Paul for sharing this at a recent tasting. Currently the #1 Winter Warmer. Served in a snifter.
Pours a nice caramel color with a really light head. Doesn’t really stick around too long and only leaves a spot or two of lacing. The nose is loaded with vanilla, though it smells somewhat like extract. There’s also a bit of caramel and malty sweetness. The taste is more vanilla plus some caramel. Not much else, though it’s fairly nice. Beer has a medium body and finishes quite dry. Not terribly complex and not all the winter warmery, but pretty good.
