651mL. Poured a clear reddish amber. Medium tan foam with no retention or lacing. Richer maple and brown sugar nose, starting off as a barleywine. Taste is bland- lemon tea, mild maple and brown sugar, somewhat tart actually. Citric acid bite in finish.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2006 Choco-cherry vanilla maltiness in the aroma and flavor -- like a dessert brown ale. Graham crackers. The flavor came off rather artificial and the vanilla notes held on longer than necessary. I didn’t get a whole lot of the spice. Medium-heavy body. Red-brown, clear with a clingy seafoam head. Tannic. I was a little disappointed with this one, will give it another try while I’m up here on vacation.

Bottle, thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Aroma is very piney with other spices, light nutmeg and ginger. Taste had too much bite at first but waited for it to warm on my tongue and got smoother. Intresting brew.

Bottle. Pours a brown-copper body with a small white head. The aroma is heavily cookiesh with lots of spice (namely root/sarsaparilla). Thinnish, calm body with all of that spice flavour that was in the aroma.

Picked this up in Athens, Georgia. Five Points Bottle Shop, 22 oz. Plus, as an added bonus it was only $2.50! Nice fluffy head that fades away to a nice thin head that sits on top of a deep dark brown translucent beer. Looks like a friggin good spice/herb/vegetable to me. Sweet aroma, but I am a bit upset that the spices don’t hit my nose harder. If this is a spice/herb/vegetable beer then I am a little confused as to where the spices are, at least, in the aroma. Anyways, a semi-sweet caramel aroma, and that is about it. Ok, now I am picking up a SLIGHT spice aroma, but nothing special. The flavor was a surprise. Very sweet sugar/malt flavor. Slight spice flavor, but really nothing special. Very big malt taste, but the spices are far too muted for me to give this a great rating. Slight bittering hop at the end, with a slight spice tingle, but not enough to save this beer. Very smooth texture.
