Draft at GABF. Pours a hazy/murky reddish brown with a sticky head. The nose is Brett forward, lots of funk and cherries. Some vinegar is noted, but not super strong. On tasting, it is pretty flabby. Lacks a backing character with oak tannins and faint vinegar, some dryness from the brett. Underbodied. Meh.

Light malt aromas. Golden with off-white head. Moderate bodied with strong wood influence influence.

On tap at GABF 2011. Pours a murky red/brown color with a small white head. The aroma is sour oak and light vinegar. The flavor is a tart berry, lots of oak, quite thin, light vinegar. The thin body isn’t really compensated for. A nice brew, quite mellow.

Pint at the brewery. Pours a deep red color. The aroma is fruity with notes of tart cherries, lactic funk and oaky smoothness. The palate is medium with a very smooth flavor: fruity funk, lactic bite. It’s very nice and balanced. Sour enough to be flavorful and give it some cajones, but not over the top.
