COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.

Appearance: Dark chocolate brown in the glass with a good white head, if held to a light very dark ruby red shines through.
Nose: Soft chocolate malt ‘coffee’ notes are evident with a mere hint of hop.
Taste: All depends on venting, when fresh the chocolate malt is crisp and may have a hint of phenols, when well vented or halfway through a cask, the chocolate is soft & velvety with a perfectly balanced hop and a hint of fruity fermentation esters. Becomes dryer and ever so slightly hoppier as becomes older.
Summary: A fantastic darker ale which has a changing drinking profile, which at all the stages of it’s development in cask should appeal to all who appreciate a quality pint of balanced dark real ale. Find out for yourself it’s well worth a try.

Very dark, clear brown beer with a thick, beige head. Coffee and malt aroma. Taste is an initial hit of hop followed by the chocolate, coffee and malt but it’s the hop that lingers into the finish.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A mahogany brown coloured pour with reddy hues and a lasting loose dirty tan head. Aroma is sweet choc, nutty, praline, soft earthy roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty chocolate malts, earthy roast, dirty powdered choc. Palate is medium bodied, good cask condition. Rounded. Good characterful mild.

Ciemnobrązowy kolor, dość czyste patrząc pod światło. Piana nienajgorsza, kremowo-beżowa drobnoziarnista, pozostawia szereg krążków na szkle. W aromacie i smaku kawa, czekolada, ciemne owoce, karmel i toffi. W oddali trochę przypieczonej skórki od chleba. Silnie wyczuwalne także paloność. Goryczka średniego formatu, krótka. Lekkie, do średniego ciało. Delikatne wysycenie. Łatwo pijalne i bardzo smaczne.

Mahogany brown beer with creamy blonde head. Aroma has chocolate, peat, vanilla and berries. Flavor is dry with vanilla, mint, fruits and berries. Palate is thin and fluffy. Finish has mild bitterness. Aftertaste has berries, metal and sweet malts. Very flavorless, has some downsides of cask ales. Interesting aroma on first nose, cannot put my finger on it now...
