12 oz bottle compliments of nearbeer. Poured a beautiful red hue into a Sam's perfect pint glass with inch thick fluffy white head. Nothing stands out with the aroma, hop heavy of course. Bitter like a hopped up rye, flavor of floral hops with some citrus on the back end. Medium body. At 6% it's very drinkable.

Pours a reddish orange pour with a small dissipating head. Nose is hoppy and full of fresh citrus, Taste is is bitter upfront with mild citrus, and hops and pine following. Finish is bitter as well, but very drinkable, without very much sweetness. Solid IPA. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a nice dark copper with an off white head and earthy aroma. Taste is bitter up front, of hops, pine, and citrus notes which lead into a big bitter, dry, long finish. Solid IPA with nice bitterness

Didn’t have much of a red ale flavor to it and the hops were not in line with an IPA. Taste was confused and gimmicky.

Bottle pour copper red. Nose of some pine hop, but also sweet and caramel malt. Taste almost exclusively malt. Some bitterness from the hop, but no flavor.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 alexsdad06 (3041) - Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2013
12 oz. bottle shared by drsordrs. Pours a clear amber copper color with a small white head that leaves some lacing. The aroma has some pine resin, mild citrus and catty hops with caramel and toasted malts. The flavor is heavy on the toasted malts and caramel with only a small amount of citrus and resiny hops. Tough to get excited about an IPA that has little hop flavor.

22 on vacation in the mountains. Pours a deep amber red with an off white head froth. Grassy herbal touch of pine aroma. Flavor has a lot of that pine stickiness coming through with a deep chewy grain and caramel malt backbone. Not in love with the hop profile but that’s just a personal preference.

12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market in Elizabeth City, NC. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Really nice aroma of pine needles and grapefruit. The flavor is very hop-forward with bitter grapefruit rind, fresh cut grass, and pine. The bitterness is the first impression but it is not overwhelming. A nice surprise.

Pours a brick red amber into the glass, with a light eggshell cap that leaves window-wash lacing. The nose is peppery and spiced. Nice flavors of toasted caramel, grapefruit, pepper, floral hops, and finishing with a roasted, toasted peppering bitter. The balance is nice, and the mouthfeel is round with a semi-active palate and medium body. Pretty tasty, and another nice offering from a local brewer.

flowery and grapefruit lemony with some candy sweetness. low aroma and nice malt backbone brew shows rye when just out of the bottle. nice session imperial since the alcohol is not overdone, just drink it slower.
