3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle pours a nice autumn oak leaf orange-brown with a light off-white head. Aromas of roasted pecan, malts and flowery hops. Sweet malty flavors have tinges of vanilla but finish with a bit of a hop bite which smooths out the overall flavor. A bit light on the mouthfeel but a very drinkable ale.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very mellow, malt-based aroma that offers little else, while rich in this respect. A barely brown appearance that makes you think more of orange. big bubbled decent head. Tastes like it smelled, just watered down, ie it lost some richness to be desired. Sickly sweet, and otherwise empty palate. Borders on boring.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
P: Clear amber brewed tea appearance with minimal khaki head. A foamy halo rest on top leaving the occasional leg of lace behind.
S: Toasted italian herb and cheese Subway bread, toasted caramel and orange juice and bitter orange peel.
T/M: Toasted caramel, bready malt, orange peel and spicy pippali pepper. Finishes dry with lemon zest and toast. Prickly moderate body. Once the beer warns it starts to have a metallic aftertaste to it. It’s not bad but does throw it off a bit.
O: Well balance and simple. An easy drinking ale to throw back after a long day of work. The spicy kick at the end really makes this. Without it I think it would be dull.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2013 Caramel, subtle cocoa, and nutty malt aromas, with notes of earthy, piney hops as well. Clear ruby-amber with a retaining, rocky, beige head. Some sweet malts combine with bitter hops, flavors of chocolate, raisins, and nuts. Medium bodied with low carbonation, and finishes with lasting, sticky, malt sweetness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from a generous trader poured into a shaker. New state tick! Pours a dark slightly cloudy amber with a half finger of off white head. Aroma is mostly caramel with a slight pine and citrus presence. Taste is light bitter. Caramel malt dominated with just a slight bit of pine. Full vodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. Kinda one dimensional but drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a fairly transparent amber with foamy off-white head. Smells and tastes of caramel malt with some hop notes. Average on the palate. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark burnt orange, crystal clear with a light tan head. Kind of a dark, ripe fruit sweetness on the nose, a little breadiness and malt. Taste is a little fruity, also some caramel and pine. Light bodied amber, pretty average.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A wonderful American amber that plays well its malts and hops for a very balanced character that doesn't lack the nuance of some others in the style. Just a touch more effervescent than I might like, but that just aids the beer in enticing you back for another sip/gulp/glass.
