COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A deep amber colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.

If I’m not mistaken, this is Highlands most popular ale despite this, it’s not their best. But then again, it is still a Highland and one of the better domestic ales you’ll ever find.

Fairly thick head. Very smooth with a nice balance between maltyness and hoppyness.

As the Scooter would have said, HOLY COW!!! Beautiful color, intense aroma and full bodied. I could not beleive the perfect blend of malt and hops. Fantastic I will definitely be drinking many more of these.

Another one of my favorite beers. Great malty smoothness and just the right bitterness. A light smokiness to go along with the malt and hops.

Pours a rich ruby red with a thin white head. Has a nice hoppy aroma and lots of effervescence. It tastes of sweet roasted malt and lots of citrus and bitter hops.

Tasty, one of my favorite pale ales. The nose is some bread with a mixture of floral and citrus hops. The beer is a deep copper with a white head and plenty of lace. The taste is floral, citrus, and a little pine hop with just enough bready sweetness to balance. The body is medium and smooth with a nice crispness.

Nicely balanced beer from Asheville’s largest brewery. Excellent balance. Not an exciting beer, but a very good one.

On draft at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a reddish tea color with a creamy head and lacing. Nose of big caramel and dark fruit, hazy mango and hops. Flavor is very creamy candied fruits, caramel, slight roast and a hoppy finish. Very creamy smooth body, clean and crisp, quite drinkable.

A tasty beer that looks appetizing and drinks easily. Had both draught and bottle. A good offering from a great North Carolina brewery. The Derricks ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
