A deep amber colored American ale, featuring a rich malty body. Cascade and Willamette hops add a complex hop flavor and aroma. This ale is exceptionally balanced between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.

Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium brown with a reddish hue and had an average sized (1-2 finger) off white frothy head that lasted a little while, leaving behind some residue that lasted throughout thus producing some excellent lacing that was left sticking to the glass. The aroma was of a cookie like malt, a moderate dose of herbal hops and a mild sweet yeast with notes of caramel, toffee and had a slight nutty presence with a mild alcohol tinge. It tasted slightly bitter with a hint of toffee and a slight nuttiness at first then became nice and malty and very lightly sweet with a note of caramel and a moderate hop presence at the end. The flavor stuck around for a nice long while, allowing for the flavor of lingering hops to be totally appreciated. Mouthfeel was just a tad below medium in body and mildly dry in texture with a medium carbonation. Overall a nice sweet malty brew with a nice emphasis on hops at the finish.

Pours a deep amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, and grains. Feels oily on the tongue with a front end bitterness and a hint of sweet malts. I really wanted to like this beer, but it just is off for me. The overpowering sweetness ruins this beer.

Pours an amber, with an interesting grapefruit hue. Sweet malts, syrup on the nose. Malty, bready taste with caramel and hints of brown sugar. An excellent amber ale.

On tap at Finneganís during trivia night (canít believe I couldnít remember Good Times was a spinoff of Maude!). Dark mahogany pour. Aroma is malt heavy, butterscotch and coffee, with orange peel notes. Flavor has a surprising amount of roast, followed by caramel and orange peel/pine hops. Malty body, mild carbonation. Definitely on the maltier side, verging on a brown ale.

Highland Gaelic Ale has a relatively thick, cream-colored head, a mostly clear, bubbly, copper appearance, and good lacing left behind. The aroma is of slightly citrusy, caramel malt and bread crust, and the flavor is of sweet, syrupy, caramel malt, and pleasantly bitter hops. Mouthfeel is medium, and Highland Gaelic Ale finishes semi-dry and highly quaffable. RJT

Pours amber in color with little lacing. It has the smell of caramel with a sweet smell. It has the taste of light caramel with maybe almond.

Out of a bottle. Great go to beer that is easy drinking and flavorful. It's hard to go wrong with any beer from highland.

Dark amber, clear pour with an epic head. One finger of fluffy off-white head in the glass and one finger over the top of the glass. Tons of head retention. Big malty nose. Ok taste. Huge malty caramel sweetness. Itís not totally out of hand, but itís close.
