Highland Grove Park Inn’s Great Gatsby Abbey | ||||||||||||||
RATINGS: 5 MEAN: 2.42/5.0 WEIGHTED AVG: 2.6 ABV: -
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION F. Scott Fitzgerald considered The Grove Park Inn "home" during the summers of 1935 and 1936 - seeking refuge and literary inspiration amongst our granite walls in rooms 441 and 443. A legendary writer (and lover of drink), he spent much of his free time observing the comings and goings of female guests from his fourth story window. In his honor, we have collaborated with Asheville’s oldest legal brewery, Highland, to create this brown ale. Our abbey style brown ale will delight the nose and surprise the palate with a subtle version of a traditional abbey brown ale. German malts and American and German hops blend delicately into a well balanced and extremely drinkable brown ale, worthy of the Gatsby name.
