COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An aggressively hopped and higher gravity version of our Kashmir IPA. Five different hop varieties added at seven different times in the brew kettle, hopback, whirlpool and fermenter add to its complexity. This Imperial IPA also differs from our traditional Kashmir IPA with the addition of over fifty pounds of dry hops, adding a spicy nose. Over two hundred pounds of hops were used in this limited fifty barrel batch. The robust, malty and complex hop flavors and aromas are best enjoyed with an extremely stiff upper lip.

Thanks to Suttree for this one. Deep orange/amber with a huge off-white head. Piney citrusy hop aroma with a sticky malt base below. Toasty bready graham cracker flavor with some bitterness in the finish. The malts remain dominant however.

Bottle in trade with performula. Good pine, resin and citrus aromas hit the nose. Orange body with off white head. Flavor started out with a malty sweetness. Citrus hops kick in middle to finish. Dry bitterness hits the palate near the finish. Good Brew.

Pours dark amber with off white head. Aroma has hops, pine and citrus. The flavor is full of hops. Really nice bitter finish. Definately one of my favorites from Highland.

Delightful grapefruity citrus filled IPA. Dark hazy copper pour minimal white bubbles around the edges. Nose huge on all things citrus......grapefruit is quite potent. This beerseriousy reminds me of good grapefruit juice. Very well done with the malts bringing up the rear just enough to really balance her out.

Deep copper pour with just a slight haze and lite white head. Aroma citrusy but not really a knockout hop aroma. Rich sweet front end that flows to a good solid bitter. It almost reminds of of oranges in a flavor that changes a number of times throughout the drink. Mouthfeel is solid and full. Carbonation is very good as well. A beer I like alot. I wish it were more readily available.

for a guy that lives in phoenix i sure have sampled a lot from this brewery in NC thanks to ucusty!... hazy caramel color with a fluffy light khaki head. aroma is overwhelmingly malty... caramel, toffee and brown sugar with a spritz of citrus and floral hops, spice and straw. earthy malt flavor is packed with more caramel and brown sugar, wood, orange and floral hops. pine shows up on the dry finish and leads to a lightly bitter aftertaste. the palate is on the sweet side but the finish helps clean it up a bit. the full body and mouth feel are chopped up by the dry hoppiness leaving this brew without the stickiness many dipa tend to have. still, it’s more like a decently hopped BW...

Bottle (22oz). Courtesy of blankboy. Cloudy amber-orange pour, very large fluffy beige head. Yum aroma - roast brown sugar malt and big-ass citrus/resin acidic funky hops. The taste follows, but it’s juicy - orange/peach - and while yes, it’s big and hoppy - tangerine zest - it’s much sweeter than I expected. Sugary, acidic and grapefruit-pithy bitter mouthfeel, a lightly sour and biting finish .... very nice - boozy too!

Absolutly delicious! Taste like the regular Kashmir put way more intense, almost smells like a barley wine, and tastes amazing! Hazy orange color with nice hoppy tone in the flavor that lasts sweet on the palate! Wow...I want another!!!

Bottle from kp. Thanks man! Reddish amber colored brew with an extremely thin head. Citrus fruit aroma. Tons of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine but not a strong burst, but more of a very nice juicy aroma. The flavor is sweet and juicy. Semi sweet caramel malt, citrus hops, pine hops, and a touch of earth. Citrus, piney hops are dry and lingering. Some alcohol comes through in this hoppy, juicy brew.
