On tap at Flying Saucer, Nashville. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops. Flavor of citrus, pale malts, caramel. The flavor tastes a bit off to me, I’m not sure what it is but something is not right.

12 ounce bottle, that pours a golden orange color. Aromas of pine, floral hops, and citrus. Flavor has more of a citrusy flavor with a touch of spice, and some pine coming through.

Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium amber with an average (1-2 finger) sized frothy white head that lasted a decent while and produced excellent lacing.
The aroma was very basic with a mild grain malt and a grassy hop with a nice touch of citrus (grapefruit).
The taste was moderately bitter, mildly acidic with a nice malty feel from the start then progressed with an increasing bitterness that had a healthy dose of hops and a bit of citrus at the finish leaving the flavor to linger for a nice long time proceeding the swallow allowing for extended enjoyment of this brew.
Mouthfeel was just a tad above light in body and had a very dry texture to it with an almost prickly carbonation.
Overall a nice and hoppy brew with a slight maltiness which allowed for superb drinkability and an excellent finish.

This is a good middle of the road I.P.A. No single flavor dominated the beer ( extra hops of course, but not overpowering). This is a smooth drinking beer which one could enjoy several of back to back without a cloying flavor build up. Like most stuff from Highland brewery it shows ballance and maturity for long term staying power, as opposed to a gimikie, I’ll show you too much ______ , flavor of the month beer.

Pours a hazy orange with a minimal soapy head. Aroma has some grassy and light fruit notes. Hop bitterness and some bread up front with a watery, metallic finish. Decent but not great.

Pours a clear golden color...lively...medium white head...decent lacing. Aroma has some hoppy spice, grapefruit, and straw and grass notes. Flavor is also very spicy/earthy. Mouthfeel is thin...a bit watery...and the finish is bitter and dry. Drinks like an aggressively hopped pils in many ways.

Draught at the Flying Saucer in Columbia CS, 2008. A bit smoky and burnt. Strong flavor of burnt sugar / caramel. Medium to strong hops, slightly strange, but decent.

12 oz bottle thanks to Pineypower. Poured a clear orange body sitting under a smalt to average sized head. Aroma of wet toast, dry honeycomb, caramel sweetness and dry citrus rind. The body is full of stingy bubbly carbonation, a medium mouthfeel, a drier finish that combined with the carbonation and the hop aftertaste is almost uncomfortable. Flavor of dry toast, flower petals, dry orange rind. Not terrible but seems more lke an APA.
