COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A brilliant, dry pale ale with an aggressive hop character balanced with a smooth finish. A bold beer best consumed with a stiff upper lip.

Darker orange pour and bright clear. nose is some citrusy and lightly floral and grassy hops. with some bready but not really caramelly malts. Flavor is similar but lacking in overally hop qualities. The malt body is good and seems like it could make a good ipa but is far from a good hoppy beer.

A bit light for an IPA, balanced malt and hops with a bit buttery of a feel. Lingering finish that is lacking in punch.

Horribly smelling ipa. Really skunky. The flavor is very good despite the taste. Nicely bitter and a nice kick of hopps. Has a bitter finish and almost no citrus taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy, yellow-gold color with a white head. The aroma has earthy notes mixed with light grapefruit. It has a light, crisp body with lively carbonation. The taste is moderately bitter with a pretty easy finish.

6-pack of 12 oz bottles for 7 bucks. Pours clear gold with a white head. Looks more like a lager than an IPA. Aroma is of some fruit and citrus as well a slight hint of malts. Strange aroma for an IPA though. Taste is bitter and on the end turns quite astringent. Decent enough, but unremarkable. I don’t know why Highland IPAs just are not very good. They do other styles well, but neither this nor the Devil’s Britches IPA are worth noting. This beer is just not balanced and lacks in hops.

Yellow and clear with a small but steady head. Aroma hoppy sweet citrus. Taste is less sweet, pine, hops, and plenty of grapefruit. Quick bitter finish. Not great depth but solid overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Points for originality, but original never automatically means excellent. Clear light to medium amber with a persistent 2 finger head, curtain of lace. Taste begins with sweet caramel malt and fresh biscuit; this is shoved around (but not aside) by very persistent pine hops. In this case, the two do not reach a compromise, fighting against each other right through a bloating, filling finish. Something just isn’t right here. All of the flavors are legitimate, just squeezed together here in a bad marriage.

My 100th IPA rate...maybe I should have chosen better for this. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with little to no head. Aroma of sweet malt, honey, and no hops at all. Flavor is a muddled mess of honey and dusty stale hops, I guess. Sweet malt all the way through with an unpleasant aftertaste. Light and a bit watery. What a disappointing 100th IPA.

Appearance: clear, golden appearance Aroma: mild floral hops Mouthfeel: medium, slightly sticky Flavor: somewhat citrusy hop bitterness initially and a dry bitterness at the end with a sweet caramel malt flavor in between Overall: Nicely balanced and not over the top. Very enjoyable.
