3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I hate IPAs but this stuff isnít too bad. Most IPAs leave me with a horrible aftertaste, but this is very smooth. If you donít like hoppy beers, like most IPAs, this stuff wonít bite.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle-Iíve tried more than one, and I canít get past the aroma. Someone listed it as dank, thatís probably a nice description. Pretty light copper color with a froathy small head. The lacing did cover the glass and the beer provided a medium hoppy taste, if you can get past the smell. Overall, the most disappointing Highland brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Amber color. Bice piney nose. Caramel smoothens over the grapefruit citrus hops with a dry finish. Had this at a tasting in Orlando 11/27/05.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bought bottled near Andrews, NC. Did not have the deep copper/orange color of most IPAs. Fluffy head and decent Brusselís lace, though. Taste was somewhat hoppy, though couldíve been more pronounced. Overall, not a bad IPA.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours with a huge chunky head that left great clinging lace. Straw pale in color. The aroma is yeast w/ a somewhat dank smell, and a bit of hops. The taste is alright, very thin, and leaves alot to want... like more, or atleast more aggresive, hops. Still pale, but a little malty in the end. The palate isnít bad and is adequately dry. I think the problem here is in calling it an Indian pale ale. "A stiff upper lip"? A good beer, a mediocre IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Pours clear gold with thin white head of bubbles. Dry and hoppy, almost like a malty pilsener. Not exactly an IPA, but crisp and decently hoppy for maybe a summer ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2008 Clear gold, white head. Spicy hop aroma dominates. Slightly thin feel with dry, hoppy flavors and bittering at the front. Not quite enough malt background, seems a little unbalanced. I like very hoppy beers, but this needs a little more base to carry the hops in my opinion. The finish is quite dry and refreshing. More of a warm weather IPA, if there is such a thing.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught. This isnít exactly what I was expecting. Reminds me of aromatic lumber in many respects. It is hoppy yet smooth, but lacks depth. Not bad, but Highlandís other beers are better.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2009 draught. Kashmir is a gold color with a decent head. Thereís a woody, earthy nose on this. Cedary sweet flavor with a just a bit of spicy hops. I think the regular Highland pale ale had more character than this one. I would definitely recommend any of their other brews, which are delicious, over this one.

Bottle. Pours gold, barely hazy with a decent head. Aroma: wood, light grapefruit, and vanilla. This is a modestly hoppy IPA with some grapefruit to give it bite. I felt this was more English leaning with the wooden/earthy notes and a surprising vanilla character.
