A brilliant, dry pale ale with an aggressive hop character balanced with a smooth finish. A bold beer best consumed with a stiff upper lip.

Citrus Hops, Sweet Yeasts, Malts and Barley with a mild Floral Hoppy taste which blends in with the flavor. Feels rather crisp and refreshing. Good tasting beer, but I would classify this as a Belgian Pale Ale because of the flavor which Iím getting.

Not sure how they call this an ipa. Aroma is citrus and hay like. Bitter up front then finishes very astringent. Was difficult to drink so I chugged the rest of it. Then I drank water, not another one.

12 oz. bottle. Pours pale gold, with a medium, off-white head. The aroma is white bread, hay, and citrusy hops. The flavor is mildly bitter, with light fructose sweetness. The palate is light to medium, and unpleasantly astringent. Overall, this is a fair IPA.

draught. Dark yellow clear no head. Ipa in bitterness only. No standout hop character grassy and malty aroma. Dull Grapefruit taste and bitterness. A little spicy finish. Slick and dead palate. Not sure why the bartender recommended this for her choice of NC ipa at macís

Highly disappointing. Wouldnít even consider this an APA. I love IPAs and the awesome after-taste on the back of the tongue. This beer makes me yearn for a glass of ice cold water which I could use to rinse the rancid taste from my palate. Not a good beer, good riddance!

Originally reviewed: 4/11/09. Pours a darker gold with a decent white head on top. About a finger width in size. Retains fairly well, and leaves some spotty lacing. Nothing spectacular, but still pretty. From here on though, itís downhill. Smells of biscuits, malt, butter, and bread. Nothing that is characteristic of an American IPA. Mouthfeel is decent. Nice and crisp with a nice little pop on the tongue from the carbonation. Flavor is of toasted biscuits, weird off-meat flavor, and some hints of sour lemon on the end. This tastes more like an APA in my mind. Nothing tells me this is an IPA. Iím gonna move on from this one, and avoid in the future.

Draft at World of Beer (Tampa Palms). Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized head. Fairly good amount of lacing along the glass. Aroma and flavor are much more malty than hoppy. Not bad overall, but doesnít feel like and IPA to me.

Creamy IPa pours a standard ipa color maybe a bit more dark orange. Taste is heavy and creamy but with a pleasant hop palate. Its okay

Smells like Heineken, really poor. No head or lacing to be found. Taste is watery with a little bite at the end. Zero complexity. Mine might have been old or skunked but I just picked this sucker up, and I'm really disappointed. Had this a few months ago and it wasn't THIS bad, but I didn't like it before either.
