bottle from Vintage Cellar. Pours golden amber with a transient fizzy whiteish head. Aroma of honey toasted malt? Flavor is pretty much resin. It’s not harsh, just firm. Followed by a lightly paperish caramel malt. There’s a lot of hop here. Just not NW style.

Bottle at Mellow Mushroom. Golden pour, white head. Very resinous and citrusy aroma with a small bit of malt. Flavor is bitter as hell, lots of herbal/resin hops. Light malt bill. Crapload of hops...too much actually. Unbalanced for my tastes.

Bottle... NTB Ernesto Festo ’06... Mostly clear golden ale with a small, frothy, white head. Subtle nose with traces of herbal, spicy hops and gentle malt. Maybe a touch of diacetyl... toffee and butterscotch notes. Moderately sweet, moderately bitter flavors of peach, orange and grapefruit. Medium-bodied and silky with moderate carbonation. Lengthy, mildly bitter, grassy finish.
