COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A brilliant, dry pale ale with an aggressive hop character balanced with a smooth finish. A bold beer best consumed with a stiff upper lip.

weak effort at best. vague hint of an ipa with slight notes of hoppiness but i've had much better. this thing looks like a friggin lager.

Bottle pours pale yellow, slightly hazy, large frothy white head, spotty lacing, with soft carbonation.   Stale oatmeal aroma, no hop at all.   Very thin pale malt flavor... where are the hops?   Body is medium, mouthfeel is medium, but this beer is boring.   Not bad, just not an IPA by any stretch of the means... nor a Pale Ale.   Aggressive hop character?   Bold beer?   Um... at least it doesn’t taste bad... but its no IPA.   It tiz somewhat smooth tho... at least they got that bit of advertising correct.   Thanks goes out to goldtwins for the trade!

not the best offering from highland. has a sour hop finish, a mild front with hops in the middle, but it is not an overall very hoppy beer, has a sour tint to it....

I am the first to admit I rate IPAs high, but I have to say this one was a little too harsh for my taste. How many IBUs does this beer have. Overall good, but it is not for the faint of heart.

Pours a clear gold color with a off white head with little retention. The aroma is light, a bit moldy, a bit yeasty with barley any hop pressence. The flavor has a light sweet malt with a super light pine and some more yeast. The mouthfeel is a about right, oily and light over the tounge with a crisp bitterness... though it doesn’t finish so clean. This wasn’t too bad, but it certainly doesn’t taste or smell like the style too much.

Well this is an IPA. I dont like IPAs, but this one pours a lind of piss yellow with a slight white head. Flavor is not as bitter as I would have thought.

Decent. Golden color, a bit strange, should have been a bit deeper. Not a horrible IPA, though not really noteworthy. I see people here are pretty down on this brew. Take it or leave it.

This was a fairly average IPA with fewer interesting characteristics than this brewery’s American Pale Ale. Small white head atop a light yellow, clear body. The light hop aroma was mostly perfumey and the malts presented a nose of grain and straw. Lightly sweet in flavor with a moderate bitterness in the finish. The medium body had average carbonation and a slick texture.

Consumed a few Highland IPA @ the Green Meadows CC in Eden, NC. Low bitterness, golden ale, British (or is it Scottish?) style IPA. Noca brewery brewed by a Maryland Brewery (Frederick).
