jerc (3071), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 9, 2008 2008-05-08.Hazy orange amber with a small creamy off white head. (3+) Pleasant hoppy aroma, light citrus and mild resin. Similarly pleasant hops in the flavour, muted resin, light citrus hints. (6+) Smooth average palate. (3+) Pretty nice, but strikes me as probably having a little more oomph to the hops when fresher or on tap. Bottle shared by Jon Walker
mabel (1391), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 5, 2008 [1329-20080508] 12floz bottle. Pine needle aroma on a bed of grass hops. Cloudy, orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head and small bubbles around the edges. Dull grassy pine resin flavour. Medium body is a little bitter. Drinkable, nice bitterness.
(c/o manuchampions, w/ him, jerc) nqualls (84), Tennessee, USA Aug 4, 2008 Poured a clear gold color with a huge white head. Ton of carbonation. Aroma is very hoppy. Grassy/Floral hops dominate the nose. Flavor is more malty than I has expected based on the aroma. Ok beer, but could use a better hop/malt balance. timsilvia32 (164), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Jul 11, 2008 Nice gold pour with a big head. Lots of carbonation tickles the tongue. It’s obviously heavily hopped, but that just doesn’t come out that much in the flavor. Very crisp and clean to the finish. I’d say this is where the St Theresa’s should be, an IPA should be on the border of offensive, which this definetely is not. gotohelunc (333), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 10, 2008 Bottle. Big soapy head. Astringent hoppy aroma. Really natural, hops flavor. It tastes like I’d expect a hop-forward homebrewed IPA to taste if it was balanced wonderfully. Another solid session from Highland. keepersj12 (392), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 About an average IPA. Pretty well balanced. Sweet up front and dry finish. A bit thin. Not to bad but a lot better.
