The nose has raisins and hazelnuts. The taste is more of ginger biscuits and toffee. The palate is medium bodied with a tangy texture and a drying finish. Overall, this has a lot of taste for 3%, though slightly less enjoyable than the Dark Munro.

Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, roasted, dark berry - fruity notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120811]

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A dark brown-black beer with malt, chocolate and light coffee flavours with a sweet and roasted finish. A very good low ABV beer.

50 cl bottle, cellar crasher. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted breadish malty, caramelish. Toasted malty, breadish and light toffee. Dry, bitter and breadish finish.

500ml bottle. Clear dark copper colour with average, frothy to creamy, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly roasted grainy aroma, unripe spelt grain, underlying caramel malty notes touching on chocolate. Taste is moderately dry roasty grainy, minimally grassy, a bit watery. Very much taste for its low abv, though.

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, clear, mid-sized creamy off-white lacy head, light to moderate dry roasty nose with traces of caramel underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied - as expected; dry and lingering roasty-caramelly and malt-bitter finish. Incredible! Such a tasty brew, and only 3% ABV...
