COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American Pale Ale is a refreshing session beer meticulously handcrafted with a unique Highland twist. Brewed with grains from America’s heartland, using Simcoe hops for bittering and dry hopped with Amarillo and Cascade for aromatics, this beer finishes crisp and clean. It is a plate pleasing seasonal experience.

Bottle. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Soft Simcoe complex hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced bitter flavor with a medium smooth bitter finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable brew.

Golden pour w/ white head that leaves some lacing. Floral and pine hop notes mix with citrus and pale malts in the nose. Lt/med body with crisp carbonation. Refreshing and nicely balanced malts/hops. Dry finish. This was great after hiking.

5/13/13. 12oz bottle from Grassroots. Very clear light orange/golden pour with a decent off-white head that eventually fades to a small ring, but sticks pretty damn well and laces plenty. Faint, light hop aroma, mostly dank, pine, and bitter citrus when it shows through. Light pale malt flavor, biscuity, and similar hop aspects as the aroma led on but with a touch more bitterness. Not bad.

12oz bottle. Clear golden color. Thin white head, fades a bit, leaves little traces of lace. Lighter to medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, more dry in the finish. Lightly grassy, floral, lightly piney hop. Some biscuity malt. Moderate bitter taste, moderate sweet. Decent crisp aromatic spring pale ale.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2013 Aromas of limes, wild flowers, redolent of hand soap, and light biscuit. Clear orange-gold with a mostly lasting, white head. Dry, bready, floral, and bitter, with a snappy hoppiness. Light bodied, crisp, refreshing, and with a quick, clean finish.

Grapefruit aromas with a little grass. Light golden with a big foam head. Very little malt character with clean hop bitterness. Medium light body and a quick finish.

4 oz draft sample at RFD DC. Pale yellow with frothy white head. Aroma and taste are mild grassy hops with lemon notes. Eh.

Several bottles recently at The Pig in Chapel Hill. Pours a clean orange amber with a small off white lace. Nose is grassy, light cat pee, very green, light citrus. Flavor is similar--not enough body or hop flavor, grassy green bitterness comes though, fairly dry and crisp but too light and bitter for my tastes. Like the idea and hope they will continue to make more sessionable american pale ales.
