COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American Pale Ale is a refreshing session beer meticulously handcrafted with a unique Highland twist. Brewed with grains from America’s heartland, using Simcoe hops for bittering and dry hopped with Amarillo and Cascade for aromatics, this beer finishes crisp and clean. It is a plate pleasing seasonal experience.

Draft growler from Whole Foods. Pale gold. Slight grain and lightly earthy and grassy hop aroma. Flavor matches aroma. Not bad, just not much going on here. Would have thought there would have been more hoppiness with the hops they used here.

4/19/13 tulip glass. clear and golden in appearance with a minimal white head. head quickly dissipated. nothing more than grass and maybe spruce hops on the nose, but not over powering, or intimidating. light to medium bitter, and finishing strong with hops, but again, not over powering. quite tasty and easy to drink. light to medium body and fizzy. not a bad beer from Highland Brewery. $8.99 a 6-pack.

From tap. Pours a clear yellow color with small white head. Aroma was citrus, a little bread and grass. Taste follows with a thin mouthfeel and a nice balanced bitterness. Good warm weather Pale Ale.

12 ounce bottle. Very hoppy nose. Orange pale color. Light and crisp overall in the body. Very sessionable.

Bottle. Pours a very clear dark golden color with a smallish white head on it. Nose actually seems to have a slight bit of skunk on it, like an old cheap pale lager. Taste is light and crisp, but has a similar palate to a lager. Odd. Not a huge fan.

(12oz bottle) clear very pale yellow, effervescent bubbles, film of white bubbles. Nose of oats, funky, light fruit, wet grains. Taste of toasty grain, lager yeast, earth/dirt,

I popped the cap on this bottle without inspecting it, so I was pleasantly surprised by the very hoppy aroma emanating from a bottle labelled "Spring Ale": It smells a lot more like an IPA than like the light fare I was anticipating. Aroma is notably fresh, with a malt component largely overpowered by the hops. Excellent hoppy flavor to go with the aroma, yet with a rather limited bitterness. Hops (Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade) have citrus and earthy elements with a little spruce, and leave a lasting and quite enjoyable aftertaste. The beer itself is golden, clear, and covered with a modest but durable white head. M - More body than the color suggests but still on the light side; semi-dry, markedly crisp finish. Ample carbonation. O- an excellent Spring seasonal that I’d be happy to have year-around.

Bottle. Pale gold pour - clear - with a small white head. Really nice citrus aroma, same in the flavor. Clean crisp palate. Solid.

Clear pale amber color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with a mildly bitter citrusy hops character and notes of toasted malt and pine. The finish is crisp with a cedar wood and hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
