COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American Pale Ale is a refreshing session beer meticulously handcrafted with a unique Highland twist. Brewed with grains from America’s heartland, using Simcoe hops for bittering and dry hopped with Amarillo and Cascade for aromatics, this beer finishes crisp and clean. It is a plate pleasing seasonal experience.

Highland’s spring seasonal pours a clear golden body with a small white head that quickly yields to some sporadic patchy lacing. Aroma is floral hops that have a citrusy edge. Orange blossoms come to mind. Grassiness is also noted. Light medium body has crisp carbonation. Taste has a dry and crackery pale malt base that offers only a subtle sweetness. Bitter floral and grassy hops have a pleasant citrus undertone. No alcohol presence affords a high drinkability. Very sessionable, in fact.

On draft at Brass Tap, poured a clear golden yellow color, aromas of some yeast, grass, and a touchh of wood. Flavor is the same just a little flavor of aromas, ok beer overall.

Aroma is yeasty, woody, and rather grassy. It pours a rather wan clear yellow, but at least the white head is thick and fluffy. Malty flavor has a strong hoppy, grassy overtone with a subtle note of yeast and a fair amount of bitterness, rather like an IPA. Texture is rather thin, though it has a good tingle. Though not Highland’s best effort, still worth at least a try. (And refreshing on a May day that feels like August!)

Pours yellow-gold with a small white head. Aroma is cedar-like pine and not much else. Taste is light white grapefruit and pine up front with mellow light malts and easy hop bitterness in the finish. A very crisp and clean tasting beer. Like it.

Ar: Ripe pear and pine. Ap: Golden, slightly hazy - small white head with moderate retention and a spotting of lace. T: Lemon, orange zest, and light pine notes - some grass and a medium bitterness - leafy on the finish. P: Light body with medium-high carbonation - finish is dry. O: A refreshing and light pale ale - simple.

Nice aroma. Appearance was very light -- not much darker than a macro. Not much head or lacing. Very drinkable.
