COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique Highland creation, this robust beer is black in color, very malty with hints of chocolate-roasted flavor and a well balanced hop character.

Appearance Black, pours a nice thick head that lasts for a while too. Aroma Very mild, just a hint of roasted malt. Taste Soft and malty, a nice round flavour typical for oatmeal stouts and porters. Lingering aftertaste of roasted malt.

On draft but this was the bourbon barrel aged. Barrels from wildfire reserve. Black pour strong on the bourbon but the roastiness of the malt and the coffee undertones and bits of chocolate was awesome it’s ashame they blew the keg would have liked more.

Pours dark ruby-brown. Roasty chocolate aroma. Taste has a weird fruity gummy bear sweetness but somehow it works.

Draft. Pours brown with a beige head. Light roasty aroma with some light sweetness. The flavor has roasted malts, light sweetness, and some light floral hops. Very drinkable.

Tap - brixx Biltmore Park - pours a lovely deep black with a nice layer of off white head. Aroma is chocolate and malt. Taste a touch bitter and finishes a bit dry with a medium body. Nice, but not spectacular.

Very nice porter. Typical chocolate notes. Nicely malted. Smooth. Has a bizarre fruity aroma mixed with the chocolate. Nice beer.

On draft at brewery. Smoky, spicy, very much like a brown ale. Typically, I don’t like porters, but this one is damn tasty. Enjoyability 3.5/5.
