Ungstrup (11692), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 17, 2005 An opaque brown beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is sweet roasted containing lots of chocolate. The flavor malty with strong notes of chocolate, but a sourness lingering in the back and the body is thin. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 3, 2004 Bottled, thanks SpringsLicker! Transparently black, lasting head. Grapefruit aroma. Dry and very aromatic with soft mouthfeel. The finish is really salty with good bitterness. Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2002 Very dark burgundy; thin but creamy-looking head; fruity aroma (cherry, raisin) w/ touch of roast. The oatmeal is immediately evident in the creamy body, though a soft carbonation also contributes. Oaty, fruity (cherry), lightly roasty flavour. Fairly sweet, a little bit fatty in the finish (typical oatmeal characteristic). Very drinkable - a cross between an old-school porter and an oatmeal stout. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 08/24/1996
ultra smooth chocolate flavor, solid lace (nitro?), amazing velvet character, light chocolate flavor, could be a great winter session beer, upgraded from 2 to 3 rating on body alone, better in the sample size, or is it warmth?
