Cask; Status uncertain.
At 9% ABV it sits nicely beside our Orkney Porter, also 9%, and is the first time we’ve brewed a barley wine. A lovely deep amber in colour, we loaded it full of American hops - and then we put some more in! All in the interest of balance, it also contains a small mountain of Maris Otter pale malt.

Very poor nose . Colour is a very light amber .rhe initial taste is good but strong taste of isopropanol . This indicates lot of sugar or poor quantity malt .rhe hop profile is dominated by strong alcohol and poor malt mix . Overall a pretty barley wine beer . Sorry to slang you . Generally I love highland beers.if you need to know a good barley wine try sierra Nevada Bigfoot .

pale golden little nose little bit of sweet grain, taste is just sugar sweet cloying
obviously not enough of the sugar has been brewed out, really poor apart from the strength this could be a beer for the alcopop generation yuk
