Appearance: pale and golden, straw yellow in colour.
Nose: delicate fruity hop with a hint of maris otter maltiness.
Palate: soft malt with a fruity hoppy middle, drier hop in the finish which lingers pleasantly.
Summary: a very refreshing easy drinking Orkney Light Ale. Hopped with in 2008 American and Polish hops early and late in the copper. One to enjoy with any type of food at any time of day. It does not have to be strong to be exceptional.

On cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Gold / amber. Slightly sweet fruit but, oddly, a quite dry finish. Strong hoppy bitterness arrives late. A very decent session bitter.

Cask at the Cask and barrel, Edinburgh. A fairly standard bitter, but there is a bit barnyard or stable in there - the beer is not in top form. Fine maltiness, nice bitteer tail - but not well kept.

Cask & Barrel, Southside, Edinburgh Light fruity aroma with a clear pale straw appearance. Lightly bittered flavours with citrus fruits, short lived palate however. Might be one for the summer...

Half, hand pulled cask at Cask & Barrel Southside. Clear golden body. Low, lacing-head. Plain fruity hops to the nose. Oil-like fruity hops in flavour. Dry ending. Foamy and watered mouth feel (Edinburgh, 30.11.2010).

Strange to find a name like this for this brewery. Nice head and features very refreshing although a little bitter for my taste.

Quite good but I expected more from this brewery, it is a shame Orkney brewery was bought by another.

500 ml bottle, thanks to my beerpal Olav who brought it home from the Orkneys. ABV is 3.6%. Crystal clear golden colour, big to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops, notes of tropical fruits. Light bodied. Decent hoppy flavour, some fruitiness first, dry and "dusty" finish. Very nice for its moderate ABV.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strongish head. The aroma is gently hopped, and the flavour is dry, hopped, toffee and slighlty sour at the finish. Overall a nice drink.
