UPDATED: AUG 28, 2011 Re-rate, I’m much more aware of how well integrated the yeast and the hops are on the long refreshing finish this times. There seems to be a particular yeast taste to Highland Brewing beers, in fact. This is an awesome drink which understates itself but has incredible balance. Previous rating 30/03/11 6/4/6/4/13 = 3.3 50cl bottle. Pours golden with light carbonation & a nice lacy head. The nose has sweet malt and gentle nettles. The taste is less malty but more nettles. The palate is light to medium bodied with proportional texture and a lovely refreshing finish. Overall, this is a beautifully balanced and sessionable beer. Less is more!

500 ml bottle, thanks to my beerpal Olav who brought it home from the Orkneys. ABV is 3.6%. Crystal clear golden colour, big to moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops, notes of tropical fruits. Light bodied. Decent hoppy flavour, some fruitiness first, dry and "dusty" finish. Very nice for its moderate ABV.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours pale straw gold, no head to speak of. Aromas of lemon and faint pale malt. Taste has a touch of biscuit, but mostly lemon citrus. Light bitter finish. Nice.

On cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 3 on 6 August 2009. Gold / amber. Slightly sweet fruit but, oddly, a quite dry finish. Strong hoppy bitterness arrives late. A very decent session bitter.
