Bottle. Poured a dark copper colour with a thin white head which soon diasppears. Plenty of fruit in the aroma. The taste is plenty of fruit and spice. The high alchol content comes through.

Cask conditioned gravity, White Cliffs BF 08. Gold/copper colour, thin beige head. Several people had this over the 2 days and said it was good. Some fruit. Quite a decent flinty type of beer. Then it was back to the Moor JJJ IPA!!!!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Any first impressions?
-A veil of foam tops the honeyed golden.
-Chemical sweetness (iodine?) mars the peachy fruitiness; this smells like an unfinished liqueur.
-Alcohol is apparent, which is imho not very impressive at this gravity, and honeyed maltiness reigns.
-This is rather lean for its size, the appropriately low carbonation increasing drinkability as it should.
What if you dig deeper?
-Iodine comes back in the end, and tends to build with every sip; autolysis rising.
-Characterless supporting hops cannot fight the diseased yeast.
-The simple maltiness is not much to talk about, although it could be bothered by the rampant problems.
-Even though autolysis apocalypse is underway in this glass, the beer underneath seems to be terribly boring. However, from reading my predecessors ratings, the condition of this cask could very well be the culprit of more than bothersome iodine flavors.
On cask at Cloister’s Bar, Edinburgh.

This brewery is a marvel. I had this one on Cask on the Edinburgh festival. The taste is awesome, the colour somewhat like cinammon candies. BUt it is really strong in alcoholic taste.
