This Belgian-style Wit, or “white” ale, is an unfiltered wheat beer brewed with traditional ingredients and a Highland twist. Wits are conventionally brewed with noble hops, pale malt, unmalted wheat, orange peel, and coriander. We have made this beer our own by adding other unique spices to create complex aromatics, a refreshing taste, and a crisp finish. Light in color with a smooth body, Razor Wit is perfect for hot summer days and sultry summer nights.

Good. Light. But kinda watery. The flavor is there. It just begs to be amplified a bit.

Got a bottle from a trade. Pours a very pale golden color with little to no head. An interesting aroma of bubblegum and a variety of spices. A sharp back taste of hops and a peppery spice. A thicker mouthfeel yet not very creamy. Different. Very hefe like. Fruity zesty and hoppy.

Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits (Athens, GA). Light spiced citrus nose, with some distinct lemony notes. Hazy honey color. Thin sweetness, considerable coriander, bitter lemons. Thin-medium body. Tasty enough, but somehow seems heavy for a wit.

From a twelve fluid ounce bottle purchased at the Metro Center Krogers on Kennard Avebue in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one is not a bad copy of a Belgian wit, and I enjoyed watching the finely bubbled, fast fading white head decline with lasting lacing ang coriander aroma. Yes, it has a pleasing, hazy golden hue and strong grain-citrus flavor.

Aroma of ginger beer, golden colour, almost no head. Taste of ginger beer and cloves. Creamy feel, with an astringent ginger taste.

12oz bottle served in a snifter. A: Hazy orange-gold with about a finger of white head. The head is mostly short-lived, but leaves a ring as well as some spotty lacing. Some sediment remained on the bottom of the bottle despite more-or-less emptying the bottle. Give it a swirl before pouring if you want more spices and yeast. S: Sweet and fruity, this smells like a spicy witbier with notes of lemon-orange and coriander. T: A rather spicy witbier, but not over done, and with an excellent mix of spices. Orange peel and coriander are most obvious, along with the banana/yeast flavor. Also obvious, a generous and well-proportioned load of noble hops and wheat. All too brief aftertaste. M - Excellent medium+ carbonation level; near medium body; smooth yet crisp; slightly dry finish. O: not a favorite style of mine, but with the well chosen spices and generous (for style) use of noble hops, this well-crafted witbier is one of the best I’ve ever had. {from 2012 notes)

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber into a Spiegelau tulip. A: Faint coriander, yeast, musty notes. A: Pours a hazy copper yellow with a soft, white head and good retention. T: Lemon notes, coriander, yeast, a bit spicy on the finish. P: Light bodied, smooth, well carbonated. O: This beer lacks complexity. The flavor is there but it’s very subdued. Refreshing, but forgettable.
