COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This “shining example” of our spring seasonal has a complex malty body enhanced with traditional spicy noble hops. This Bock is a medium body lager with a smooth, crisp finish. A creamy head tops this fine Bock with the usual Highland twist on style.

The color was brownish/yellow. The head was creamy, thin, and off-white. The aroma was somewhat hoppy and light spice. The flavor was burnt, corn, and light hops. The palate was lightly carbonated. The finish was slightly hoppy.

Thanks turdferguson for sharing this. Pours a carbonated copper brown with a 1 finger frothy tan head. Smells a bit sweet, very grainy, earthy. Tastes grainy, earthy, a light waxyness and bitterness. Waxy mouthfeel, finishes a bit waxy.

pours a dark copper with mild fluffy head. Good light mouthfeel with a malty dry finish. Like to see Higland jump on the seasonal band wagon, personally just not a huge fan of bocks. This one had a dry biter finish that was hard for me to get past, still not bad by any means.

Bottle from Brawleys. Pours out a dark brown color with a white head on it. Smell is sweet and fruity, with not much else going on. The taste is really similar, with nothing much going on. Sure its drinkable, but I kind of expected more from this one. Not much to say for a beer that really doesnt offer alot.

So I’m watching Headbanger’s Ball and I realize that I am drinking a beer that fails to evoke any sort of emotion out of me at all. It’s pretty sweet.

Bottle, thanks to Mike/Swoopjones @ Cole’s. Copper body, light tan head. Nose is vaguely fecal with roasty malt and crisp hoppiness. Flavor is roasty malt, caramel, a hint of cocoa. Hops come out as does roast in the finish but I can’t get past that nose.

Draught at the WBF in Raleigh. Copper, with white head, good lacing. Sweet aroma, with caramel. Flavor is grainy, poorly balanced. Dissapointing finish. Unusual from Highland, most of their beers are excellent.
