Commercial Description:
Our Scotch-style ale, named from Norse mythology, combines the heritage and tartan of our brew team. The roasted barley and chocolate malt lend a bold flavor to this delicious dark beer. Its increased hop level is a modest departure from a true Scotch-style ale. We hope you agree this is a beer worthy of the name Tasgall, "Cauldron of the Gods."

Bottel - thanks to Fish for the trade. Hops and butterscotch/caramel aroma. Opaque brown color with small head. Flavor a slowly building creamy/smoky chocolate caramel flavor with a mildly bitter hops finish. Complex, strong and smooth. An extremely well-made beer.

A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is very hoppy combined with strong notes of caramel: The flavor is very sweet, but at the same time extremely dry, with an end that contains light woody notes. A nice powerful Scotch Ale.

Clear red/brown color with an off white head. Aroma is roasty and sweet, whith a hint of smoke. Flavor is earthy and has some fruitiness, plenty of malt sweetness and a small ammount of bitterness on the finish. A good beer, with well hidden alcohol.

Slightly malty aroma. Nice clear amber color, with a small head. The flavor is somewhat of a candied fruit. The finish is a touch bitter, and the mouthfeel is a little bit sticky.

22oz bottle: Thanks to Argo0 for sharing this one. Pours to a slightly hazy deep amber with some dark ruby highlights and a medium light tan head. The aroma is cocoa, light peat, hints of smoke and caramel, and just a touch of alcohol. The flavor is caramel, apple, fruity alcohol, a bit of sweet peat, mild spice, along with some toffee and light floral hops. Finishes slightly earthy with some mild hop notes.

Ɣ/2/06, 22oz bottle, thanks wilkie) Crystal clear dark copper body with small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, some peat, cola. Taste is moderately sweet, cola, some peat, syrup. Smooth, light-medium body, some stickiness. I like it, but would prefer it to be a little less sweet. Ɨ/3/6/4/13)
