3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On cask at The Paisley Beer Festival. Pours a dark golden colour with a thin beige head. An upfront orange aroma with passion fruit, pineapple and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Alcohol is very prominent with lingering passion fruit again. Too sweet for me.

Cask ale, beer flight choice at the Hanging Bat. Close to clear amber coloured body. No head, poor lacing. Malt-fruity nose, resinous hops and mid-sweet malts. Fruit caramel flavours, including peach, mango, and herbal hops. Bittersweet finish. Well bodied. Decent version of the style (Edinburgh 11.08.2013).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Cloisters. Pours clear golden yellow with a good long-lasting head. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, hints of bready malt. More citrus on the taste, but more subtle, with the malt backbone coming through. Very bitter finish, but a good cask beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Peachy and slightly peppery.
Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Excellent lacing.
Taste: Soft fruit with a bitter citrus edge - not a sharp bitterness you can get with American IPAs, though, this is well rounded and very smooth.
Palate: Medium to full body with a very oily texture. Light carbonation prickle.
Overall: Very enjoyable - one of the best Highland beers I’ve tried. I’d like to try this on keg or bottled.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at Red Squirrel, Edinburgh. Golden orange with a thin white head.
Aroma is soft citrus hops, sweet tangerine juice, sweet pale malts, very mellow. Taste is sugary malty and sweet juicy citrus hops. Flat carbonation, medium body, soft texture. Quite hoppy, but very low bitterness. Much too sweet for my palate, gets boring after the first few sips.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2012 Cask @ The Bon Accord. Fruity resin malt aroma. Resin, hop & citrus fruit flavour. Thick cloying & slightly sickly. Not really a proper IPA. More a hybrid with a golden ale. Had it again better second time around.
