Thunderstruck pours a rich deep brown black with a thin mocha head. Nose is rich nutty roast coffee with hints of carmelized brown sugar. Taste is a slightly dry coffee tasting roasty rich deep and nutty goodness. body is just a hair shy of silky and a bit bubbly. finishes with good bitters and black coffee. nice rich coffee flavored beer.

On tap @ProofBrewing. Pours black with small cream colored head. Aroma is obviously coffee, a little bit of toffee and chocolate in the background. Mouthful is suprsingly light bodied with mainly coffee and some other very minor spice notes. All in all a nice lighter coffee porter, but nothing special.

Dark black pour. Off white head. Atoms of coffee chocolate and light roasted character. Medium body dry coffee finish that lingers. Very tannic

12 ounce bottle- Aroma was very earthy with a boggy almost unpleasant undertone. Poured out opaque brown with a moderate tan head that dissipated quickly. Palate was thinner than I had expected or wanted. The taste saves this brew. Iced black coffee with a woody bite. Average or maybe a little better.

Medium brown colored head of varying sized bubbles. Nice coffee and roasted malt aroma with some dark fruit and berries. Color is a very dark brown. Big coffee flavor up front that lasts the duration of the drink. Moderate bitterness from the coffee along with some ash, grainy malts and juniper berries. Mouthfeel is a bit watery. Finishes dry and bitter with a lingering coffee aftertaste. A little bit unbalanced but still decent.

Iím not a real beer snob, though I wish that I were. If I were, I would have much better comments. I just know that I very much enjoyed this beer, and of the "coffee beers" that Iíve had, this one has a much more robust, much more pronounced flavor. I think this beer would be best enjoyed in fall or winter.

Deep brown almost black color with nice tan lacing. Very roasted and nutty nose. The palate also has a pretty intense coffee and dark roasted characteristic. Hinges on being a little over the top. Definitely a good 12 oz beer to share. Drink in cool/cold weather.

Pours dark brown/black color with tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate with roasted malts. Roasted malt flavor with a moderate amount of coffee and some chocolate. Somewhat ashy. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Poured into a dimpled mug and almost completely black. Excellent coffee aroma and full mouthfeel. Along with coffee hints of dark chocolate and taffy which make for a nice balance of flavor. I actually expected more out of this as I enjoy Highlandís beers. Nothing great but overall a very nice beer.
