COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This robust porter has a full body with some hints of chocolate from the chocolate malt and midnight wheat. The mild noble hop aroma showcases the roasty flavors and subtle fruit and spice notes of the artisan-roasted Fair Trade/Organic coffee of Black Mountain, NCís Dynamite Roasting Co.

From bomber. Pours very dark with a finger of tan head. Aroma of molasses and coffee. Tastes of coffee mellowed by a touch of chocolate. Relatively mild for a coffee stout, but still definitely a coffee stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black. Minimal tan head that leaves very little lacing. Aroma of fresh coffee beans, milk chocolate, and toasted caramel malts. Taste is slightly smoky with coffee, chocolate, caramel, and a hint of licorice and vanilla with a backbone of toasty malts and a bit of earthy hop bitterness. Moderate length somewhat dry finish of dark malts and a slight hoppiness underlying. Palate is a bit thin with a slick texture and average carbonation. Overall a very nice coffee porter. Very fresh tasting and actually pretty crisp. An easy drinker that can also double as a dessert beer as well.

Kind of a boring coffee beer, but not bad. Has some bitter notes that balance the sweet roasty flavors and the strong coffee flavor.

This is outside of my style of brew but still very enjoyable. Taste and smell the coffee. Great, great ale.

Good crisp aroma with notes of coffee, vanilla, hazelnut. Dark brown almost black color. Malty bitter taste at the beginning with a very strong coffee taste (as expected), smooth finish with after notes of vanilla and almond and a hint of chocolate. Overall a well made porter

Tap. Pours a deep dark brown with thick toffee colored head. Aroma of coffee and roastiness. Taste of roasted malts with heavy coffee notes and hints of some sort of spice.

A: Very nice aroma. Bold dark roast coffee. Irony porter smell. A: Pours looking a little thin. Head has some pretty big bubbles and sort of a dull brown color. Not mind blowing looks wise. Color is dark brown T: Tastes like a porter. Lighter in body. Slight hints of coffee especially on the finish. Light on the taste. A bit acidic. P: Acidic on the palate. Light. Some decent flavors but nothing bold. Overall not a mind blowing beer but pretty good. Some nice coffee notes. Solid for a porter: seduce your friends who are afraid of dark beer with this one.

Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has fresh mild coffee and roastiness. Flavor has nice fresh roasty coffee...a light and faint spiciness that almost comes off as hot pepper. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a roasty/bitter coffee finish...just a hint of a burn...id swear there was hot pepper in this. Fairly one dimensional but tasty.

Highland strikes with a smooth, creamy, and coffee-laced treat. Didnít hit all notes I would like, but a good showing. Serving: 12oz bottle
