COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This robust porter has a full body with some hints of chocolate from the chocolate malt and midnight wheat. The mild noble hop aroma showcases the roasty flavors and subtle fruit and spice notes of the artisan-roasted Fair Trade/Organic coffee of Black Mountain, NC’s Dynamite Roasting Co.

A surprisingly good porter, it's a chocolate, the smell and fragrance of roasted coffee with a slight Whitdale finish nice carbonation. I would drink again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tarry, creosotic aroma. Dep clear cola brown-black. Standard US longneck, good label. Quick cascade and one-finger, lasting tan head in a pint. Good. Acidic coffee, chickory, toasted soy nuts. Dry with bitter cocoa. Medium body. Long char-coffee finish. Not for sissies. A little sweetness and very light soapiness in the very end. Very good wit bacon and basil pizza. Bottle, Momo’s.

Draft pint at Mela Asheville. I think coffee porter is a great concept like a nice expresso. Smooth with a coffee bean bite. One of the better offerings I have had from Highland. Chocolate, coffee, toast, roasty, dough, leather, earthy, butterscotch. Will drink again when available.

Bottle shared by a friend. Darkest brown in color with a thin tan head. Malty and grainy nose with coffee notes. Malty and sorta watery flavor with a roasty finish.

A great balance on the coffee flavor. It sits nicely on the palate without dominating the flavor.

Pours a jet black with fluffy tan brown head. Nose and taste is all coffee in the front and a bit of a tart finish. Not bad at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at House of Beer in Orlando. Dark pour with a light brown head. Fantastic roasted coffee, with a bit of caramel and chocolate. Rich coffee grounds on the nose. Excellent.

Dark brown in color with minimal head. Aroma is roasty malt and muted coffee notes. Taste is less coffee than anticipated and mostly roasted malt. Seemed a bit thin on the palate. Maybe due to a higher than expected amount of carbonation. Porters arent my favorite style and this isnt my favorite porter. Not recommended.
