COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This robust porter has a full body with some hints of chocolate from the chocolate malt and midnight wheat. The mild noble hop aroma showcases the roasty flavors and subtle fruit and spice notes of the artisan-roasted Fair Trade/Organic coffee of Black Mountain, NCís Dynamite Roasting Co.

"at first, a little light on the nose, but it opened up quite nicely. light bodied and easy drinking, yet had a smooth texture and flavor that was definitely enjoyable...mostly dark coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. Thanks Lou!"

Reviewed from notes. This was received in a trade. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice dark brown color ranging close to black. There was a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a gentle half minute. There was some light clingy lacing. The smell had a nice blend of roasty coffee beans to a light cocoa. The taste was mainly sweet but still had a light robust coffee flavoring underneath. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp but still maintaining itís Porter like quality of a decent smoothness. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Porter for the most part.

Sampled at the brewery. It poured a clear brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of moderately roasted coffee and spices. The taste was medium to heavy roasted dark coffee with some bittersweetness and a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.

Flavor is bitter coffee bean that just turned. Light caramel and a weak hop in the back ground. Really bitter. Pretty astringent and basic.

Bottle thanks to ygtbsm94 for fbw...thanks again. Pours a deep dark brown, nearly black color with large brown head. Aroma is roasty/coffee, sweet, chocolate malt. Big roasty flavor, up front, slightly astringent. Chocolate malt, and lactose like flavor follows. Listening to ACDC while I drink this of course.
