Commercial Description:
Six types of barley are used to create this comples and delicious beer. Not your typical "burnt and bitter" stout, you'll find Full Moon to be smooth, creamy and loaded with flavor.

3/7/08 on draught at the brewpub. Aroma is strong olive note from roast malts (not smoked, although it does have characteristics), followed by sweetness and no hop characteristics. Appearance is nearly black with a moderate off white head. Flavor is sour toasted malts forward followed by sweetness and a great cream character, blending characteristics of cream, dry and American stouts. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a moderate graininess and sour roast finish. Overall, fairly good with nice complexity and blending of styles into something that never comes across as quite an aberration.

Deep black color, with dark ruby highlights. Creamy off-white head. Roasted, burnt coffee aroma. Sweet creaminess, not too heavy or bitter. Flavors of chocolate and bitter roasted coffee. Very drinkable for a stout, somewhere between a dry stout and an Imperial Stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Pretty flavorful stout on a cold evening. Dark chocolate dominated the flavors, touch of bitterness. Easy drinking - small type stout. But enjoyable for sure!

On tap at Highlands Hollow Boise, Pours out a dark brownish red topped with a tan head, Nice aroma of roast malt and coffee. Tast of bitter chocolate and a little coffee. A little thin for a stout.

Pours a dark brown, almost black with an ample tan head. Aroma was a bit strong at first, but pleasant of roasted maltiness. Tastes of malts, roastiness, and a decent bitterness. Creamy, yet thin on the body. Overall, it was good, but not great/

Tap Very dark but clear with a nice modest crealmy tan head and even sheeting lacing. Aroma is quite mild. Light smokey dark malts. Flavor is subtle as well. Dark pitted fruits and grapes are involved but nothing jumps out at you. I wouldn’t say borning, but not special either. I thought the body was a bit thin. Finishes clean with the expected bitterness at the end.

Pours black, almost opaqe yet there was some light coming through. Brownish head and nice sheeting lace. Chocolate and coffee aromas, slight hops. Bam! Big malts and hops take you by surprise. The coffee comes out a lot more in the flavors. Hops are nice and bitter. Thick, creamy body and palate, with a big bitter finish.

Pours black with ruby edges of a filtered stout. The head is impressive with dark tan hues and good lacing until the end of the glass. The aroma is full of hops and chocolates, dark fruits; raisin, cherry, plum. Flavor is initially lightly bitter from the large amounts of bittering hops in this stout but finishes with a terrific roasted coffee essence. The mouthfeel stings a bit for a stout, very dry finish, slightly astringant. This was a good stout from a solid local brewpub, lots of bitter hops and dark fruits dominate this beer with a foundation of traditional stout flavors.
